- "Bias" is considered a highly conceptual word therefore teachers can focus on associations generated by students.

- Class assists teacher in constructing a semantic map, prompting a great deal of student participation.

- Talk moves are used in this case to generate ideas, to reengage students, to encourage student-to-student exchanges, and to demand evidence based on the text.
